Day 1
Arrive in Nying chi by plane;

Schedule:
Take plane CA4431 from Chengdu at 07:20, arrive at 09:10 and be picked there. Transfer to hotel, after lunch at Bayi town, drive to Mt.Sikimna and overlooking Mt. Nanjiabawa Peak which is the 7th highest mountain in the world. Keep exploring the forests sea in Lulang town. Later in the afternoon return to Bayi town.

Day 2
Bayi town to Lhasa city;

Schedule:
Drive to visit Basom Tso Lake and surrounding snow mountains, famous for its Switzerland like views; after this, drive to Lhasa via Mt.Minla (5130m), on the pass of the mountain you will have a spectacular view of other lower mountains with snow cap. Drive back to Lhasa along the Niyang river which provides great scenes.

Schedule:
Visit Potala, which was constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of the united Tibet and later reconstructed and served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas. And also visit the center of Tibetan Budhhism which was built in 7th century on the pond of “Wotang”, & famous Bachor Bazaar which you can buy something as souvenir for you or your friends or your family.

Schedule:
In the morning, Visit Drepung monastery that is the largest and most influential monastery in Tibet. After this, have a short visit to a local Tibetan family to learn their custom and cuisine. In the afternoon, go to Sera monastery where you can watch the famous debate session among monks. Tonight you will live in a unique local family inn that is totally different from hotels.

Lhasa to Yamdrom tso lake / Gyantse / Shigatse;

Schedule:
Drive to Yamdrom tso lake which is one of three holy lakes in Tibet, in winter, this turquoise lake is more crystal clear and green. 160km away is the heroic city of Gyantse, where Pelkhor Tsode Temple and Kumbu Stupa are two of most great constructions in Tibet. Of course, in Gyantse, you can see more than monasteries, there are also stories and battle sites about Tibetan defense against British invasion in the early last century. After visiting in Gyantse, drive to Shigatse, the ancient capital of Tibet.

Schedule:
In the morning, Visit Tashilumpo monastery that is the seat of Panchen Lama, the monastery houses a giant statue of the Maitreya Buddha, the biggest gilded statue of Maitreya (Buddha of the future) in China, and a tomb of the 4th Panchen Lama containing masses of jewels and gold. Tonight, we have to sleep as early as possible, because tomorrow morning, we have to get up early to catch the best scenery of sunrise on the Gatsola pass.

New Tingri / Mt.Everest / Old Tingri

Schedule:
Hit the road about 5 am, by the time of sunrise over the range of Himalayas arrive we the Pass of Gatsola, and appreciate the best view there. Two hours later, we will arrive Rongbu monastery which is the highest monastery in the world, the base camp of the Mt. Everest is just 8KM away the monastery, take an environmental protection bus to the base camp to feel the greatness of the Mt. Everest. After some hiking there, we drive to Old Tingri and have a night there.

Tibet Travel Permits
  About Tibet travel permit Because Tibet has unique geography, climate, religion, and traffic considerations, it has not been fully opened to foreign travelers, who must have a Tibet Entry Permit before being allowed to buy a plane ticket to Tibet. (Overland paperwork is even more of a hassle, so it is nearly impossible for foreigners to enter Tibet by land.) Obtaining a Tibet Entry Permit usually requires working through a travel agency, who will plan a detailed itinerary for your time in Tibet.
 
AMS
  AMS is very common at high altitude. At over 3,000 meters (10,000 feet) 75% of people will have mild symptoms. The occurrence of AMS is dependent upon the elevation, the rate of ascent, and individual susceptibility. Many people will experience mild AMS during the acclimatization process. The symptoms usually start 12 to 24 hours after arrival at altitude and begin to decrease in severity around the third day.
 
Etiquettes and Taboos
  With unique culture and religion, Tibetans have different ways of behavior in many aspects. There is an old Chinese saying: "Sing the local songs when you get to a local place." So please keep in mind the following tips:

  We design a trekking check list which could be helpful for you. But if your tour is just a conventional one, some of the trekking equipment listed below is not necessary.
 
Electricity
  The domestic electricity supply voltage for appliance use differs among countries. If you plan to go to China, you should notice that the supply voltage in this country is 220V, 50HZ, AC.

The Tibet Autonomous Region is situated in the southwestern border area of the People's Republic of China, and the southwestern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Lying at 78°25'- 99°06'E and 26°44'- 36°32'N, it abuts the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the north, Qinghai Province in the northeast, Sichuan Province in the east, and Yunnan Province in the southeast. It also has a 4,000 km border with the neighboring countries of Myanmar, India, Bhutan and Sikkim as well as Kashmir in the south and west.
