Overview of this tour:
Descending Festival, in Tibetan, is also known as “Lhabap Tuichen” which means the day when the Buddha Sakyamuni descends to the earth. This year, he descends on the 9th, October.
Before the festival comes, monks will have had every corner of their monasteries and temples further cleaned and ornamented to show their due respect and warm welcome to the Buddha.
As the festival comes, starts from the very early morning, with low murmuring of scriptures and eternal circling of prayer wheels, procession of devout Buddhists and pilgrims across Tibet, standing in an endless line for hours try to enter the assembly hall just for a pure sincere worship as well as bliss from their Buddha in heart.
