What soft sleeper berth(First Class) looks like?
There are 12 compartments with doors in a cabin; 4 berths in each comparment, two upper and two lower; there is enough private room in soft sleeper comparments while there is less than enough in hard sleeper comparments.
What hard sleeper berth (Second Class) looks like?
There are 18 compartments without doors in a cabin; 6 berths in each comparment, two upper ,two middle and two lower; private room in hard sleeper compartment is less than the soft one.
The hard sleeper berth is not a hardboard like its name, it still comfortable and soft.

" It was a wonderrful experience and you have to admire the engineering skills,Passenger opposite me affected by altitude en route- doctor on the train, oxygen available.Good food, pleasantly served. Clean toilets (both European and Chinese), but it does take 36 hours. We gopt on about 8.45am and arrived at Lhasa 8pm the following night."
