PSB Permit - Alien's Travel Permit
If you want to go further to the "unopened" areas, like Lhoka, Mt. Everest area and Mt. Kailash area, etc., you need an Alien's travel permit issued by PSB (Public Security Bureau) of Tibet. It is commonly called "PSB Permit". Here is a sample picture of PSB permit:
If found traveling to further and unopened areas without PSB permit, you could face fine and warning, even punishment that will halt the continuation of the pre-made tour.
PSB permit will not be in your hand prior to your arrival in Tibet. Normally you will have it when you are in Lhasa, Shigase or Tsedang.
