DAY 1   Arrive in Lhasa
Your tour guide will greet you upon your arrival at Lhasa airport to transfer you to your hotel, where you will have the rest of the day to relax and acclimatize to the high altitude. Travel tips: Because Tibet lies at such a high altitude, it is important to remember to take everything slowly to minimize the symptoms of altitude sickness. Drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep that first night – you should feel fine by the next day. However, if you feel extreme discomfort, please notify your tour guide immediately.

DAY 2   Lhasa City Sightseeing - Potala Palace - Jokhang Temple - Barkhor Street
After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the incredible Potala Palace – the highest palace in the world. As we climb to the entrance gate, you will have a spectacular view over all of Lhasa. After exploring the numerous interesting chapels and learning about the traditional culture and history of the palace and the city, we will move on to the spiritually significant Jokhang Temple, one of the most important temples in Tibetan Buddhism. To see the “real” Lhasa, we’ll stroll through Barkhor Street with its thriving local market where you can pick up some local Tibetan, Nepalese and Indian handicrafts and souvenirs.
Tips for Visiting Potala Palace
1. The number of visitors to the palace is strictly limited to 2,300 per day. Visitors can only visit during the time specified on the admission ticket.
2. Admission tickets to visit the Potala Palace are sold out almost every day, so it is strongly recommended to book your tickets several days in advance.
3. There are many steps at the Potala Palace, so it’s best to take it slowly to avoid possible altitude discomfort.
4. Visitors should respect the rules while visiting. Do not wear hats, wear revealing clothes or step on thresholds as these actions violate local customs.
5. Photography and the taking of videos are forbidden inside the Potala Palace.
6. A security search will take place at the entrance to the palace. Explosives, flammables, knives, lighters and even water bottles are not allowed inside the Potala Palace.

Hi Amy,

Yes we have arrived, landed yesterday in Cape Town and today went back to the "groove" at work.  I would like to thank you for your outstanding work and let you know how important your help and support has been to us in shaping the itinerary and terms of the trip of our lives.  It is really rare to find such a high level of customer service.  I would like to compliment you also on behalf of my boyfriend as we had an amazing time in Tibet. You have taken the time to assist us from the very beginning and went the extra mile in suggesting ideas for itinerary, providing tips on where to stay and what to do. You have also assisted us with all our crazy inquires,  worries and doubts about visa issuance and time frames on how to get it. The ability to handle that was also outstanding.  We were also very impressed with the excellent level of your English and had no problem at all during our communication, Thanks for everything you have done for us about our Tibet trip!!!

Hello Amy & Tour team,

Thank you, we have reached home now safety after a wonderful tour of Tibet. I would like to say a few points about the GOOD service that were given to us! Firstly special thank you to Amy for being organized about the tour, telling us first hand about the tour objectives, organized itinerary! We were organized both mentally and physically as all of our doubts regarding this tour were cleared before we left from home to the tour and the information that was provided met exactly what was there on ground. Real happy about that.  Amy followed up day by day on our health conditions, provided us tips and tricks on how to maintain the best of health on such altitudes and it worked, I would say that were taken through the trip by such an ease due to this, KUDOS to Amy!  Talking to Amy all these days, now she has become a good friend on WhatsApp! :) Even though I have not had an opportunity to meet her in Chengdu yet. I would say that special mention to Lobsong as well, he was an AMAZING tour guide, I have travelled to 6 countries this year, I have not seen anyone as good as he is till now. Thank you Shirley,My brother in law has traveled with your agency about two years ago,  so you come highly recommended : )
The tour you suggested sounds perfect. Could you give us some other dates too please for a week. earlier than the 26th in June and a week later please and the cost. I have to share the information with my friends and then we will decide accordingly. Two of us will be travelling from Hong Kong.  I have a British passport, my husband has a diplomatic passport (he is from Pakistan, posted as Counsel General in Hong Kong). Two or three people will be travelling from Pakistan to Hong Kong and from there to China and Tibet.
Two more questions please:  1. can you offer a discount if we have a larger group? 2. Can you also help us with travel options from Hong Kong? Thank you in advance for your help!
